SUNDAY, 11/7 - "Zone Love Party 2"

If you missed the recent "Zone Love Party", you have one more chance to celebrate 30 years of Zone Musical Community and say "Thanks" to Frank Hayhurst.

The celebration will run all afternoon- featuring Nothing But the Brothers, Volker Strifler, the Pulsators, Detroit Disciples, Richie Blue, Blues Defenders and Frank's band, the legendary Bronze Hog, with special guests.

There will be a tasty BBQ with Woody's BBQ, and a raffle with a brand new Fender Stratocaster Grand Prize, and lots of other musical items.

Frank wants you to know that the musical community is still strong and growing, with a vibrant collection of businesses in Zone Music's old Cotati location, including: Zone Recording Studio operated by Blair Hardman, Loud And Clear -the new music store in the old Zone location run by Zone's former manager Neville Hormuz, Backstage Technical Repair Services with repairman Kent Fossgreen, and the Vinyl Zone (707-285-2006) just opened by Jim Cassero

SATURDAY & SUNDAY 11/6-11/7 - A Wine & Food Affair

A Wine & Food Affair is the premier event for Wine Road! Join us for a weekend of wine and food pairing in the Alexander, Dry Creek and Russian River Valleys, Northern Sonoma County. You will receive our new Tasting Along the Wine Road Cookbook Volume 11 as part of your limited time, advance online purchase ticket price. All of the wineries participating will have a favorite winery recipe in the cookbook, which they will prepare both days for you to sample, along with the perfect wine.

SUE'S NOTE: This event is sold out! They sold 5500 tickets this year so you can bet the Valley's will be rocking with wine tasters! There are several wineries that are not participating, so don't feel left out! You can still do plenty of wine tasting even if you don't have a ticket! Oh, and make sure to plan for next year! This is a fabulous event and the cookbook you get is outstanding!

SATURDAY 11/6 - The Art of Mickey Hart

Mickey Hart, internationally known percussionist for the Grateful Dead, is legendary for his explorations of unusual time signatures and the percussion of India, Asia, Africa, and South America. He also creates visual art. Hart’s paintings will get their first public exposure here.

SATURDAY 11/6 - Behind the Scenes at Pixar Animation Studios

Supervising animator for Toy Story 2 and Toy Story 3, Bobby Podesta will teach a class about his work behind-the-scenes at Pixar Animation Studios.

SRJC's Agstravaganza and Range to Plate are teaming up for a harvest celebration at Shone Farm 'Honoring the Past and Ensuring the Future' to benefit SRJC's Ag and Natural Resources Department.
