FRIDAY, OCT 8 - Bottle Shots 2010

Bottle Shots is an annual charity event that coincides with harvest in the wine country and supports the Active 20-30 Club of Healdsburg. This year Bottle Shots will be hosted by Trentadue Winery where guests will sample from over 25 local producers of wine, food and beer, and enjoy live music into the night. Festa Italiana provides for scholarships for Sonoma County students and Italian Cultural Programs. SATURDAY, OCT 9 - Bill Soberanes Annual Whiskerino Contest

 
The Petaluma Farmers' Market will sponsor the annual Bill Soberanes Whiskerino Contest. The judging will take place at 3:00pm in the Gazebo. All categories welcome; show off your facial hair to one and all - Full beards, goatees, moustaches, sideburns and peach fuzz. There will be live music by The Wayward Angels.

SATURDAY, OCT 9 - Quivira Farm to Table Dinner

Join us for an evening of fresh-from-the-farm dishes & wines. Duskie Estes of Zazu/Bovolo is preparing dinner on the estate using seasonal produce grown right in our garden. Guests will also get to participate in harvest, take a tour of the estate, all while enjoying a selection of Quivira's wines.

OCT 9-10 & OCT 16-17 - ARTrails Open Studios

ARTrails is Sonoma County’s premier self-guided open studios tour. The tour features the work of 150 Sonoma County artists who welcome visitors to their studios and workspaces over the weekends of October 9-10 and 16-17. This is a chance for the public to meet local artists, view and purchase original art, and learn first-hand about creative processes and techniques. It’s also a fun way to explore the back roads and experience the amazing creativity of the region.

SUE'S NOTE: This is an amazing opportunity to meet the artists and experience their vision. I take my kids to this every time it comes around. They have learned a huge appreciation of art and ask the best questions of the artists, who have graciously opened their studios for us! This is a must-do event!

OCTOBER 8-11 - B.R. Cohn Charity Events Fall Music Festival & Golf Tournament

Beginning Friday night is the Charity Auction Dinner featuring Celebrity Chef, Bradley Ogden. Saturday & Sunday is the Charity Music Festival featuring The Doobie Brothers, Cheap Trick, Grand Funk Railroad, The Turtles, Eddie Money, Loverboy, Night Ranger, The Greg Kihn Band! The Celebrity Golf Classic is Monday. Benefiting American Legion Post 489, Little Kids Rock, Salvation Army, Sonoma Jazz+ and the Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance.
